- Idler sprocket is a flat sprocket, with 2 precision bearings (6201Z) that allows the sprocket to rotate freely. Idler sprockets are normally mounted in a fixed position on a fixed shaft.
- Made of quality #45 steel, which goes through a quenching process to harden the teeth. This enhances durability and reduces friction, resulting in a sprocket with high hardness, excellent wear resistance, and a long service life.
- The idler sprocket should not rotate at a greater speed than is allowable for drive sprockets of the same size. Every roller chain idler sprocket comes with strong teeth that can latch onto the chain. It is suggested that idler sprockets have at least three teeth in mesh with the chain.
